What role can AI technology play in the medical field?

Medical care is an important matter of life. Can artificial intelligence enter the medical field more deeply?

(1) I feel that artificial intelligence is more difficult to open in the medical field, and ICU is one of them. The application of artificial intelligence in the ICU, at first, was able to predict the time of death based on the patient’s physical data, which is the only effective function of this function, which facilitates the queues in the tight ICU wards of the hospital.

(2) Nevertheless, ICU needs artificial intelligence. For ICU patients, because of their serious illness and lack of obvious awareness, accurate dosage is extremely important. Among all the common drugs in ICU, analgesics are an important one. Because in most cases, patients admitted to the ICU are often accompanied by major operations. However, the use of analgesics in the ICU is a very complicated issue. Nursing staff need patients to feedback their pain intensity in order to adjust the dose of medication.

However, ICU patients are often accompanied by conscious coma, so feedback is difficult. The consequence of this is that overdose can easily lead to addiction to the patient, while insufficient dosage will not achieve the expected analgesic effect, which can increase the patient's pain; in severe cases, it can easily lead to pain and death.

(3) For ordinary people, the most important thing about seeing a doctor is the process of the doctor’s diagnosis and treatment, clinical diagnosis, prescribing the right medicine, and finally curing the disease. In fact, artificial intelligence has deep applications in the medical field within the above-mentioned range, but patients cannot see or feel it, and naturally feel that artificial intelligence has no effect in medical treatment. Therefore, in the process of artificial intelligence infiltrating the medical field, it can go the following way: take the first aid related to life and death as the entrance, combined with specific medical operations that can be quantified, and reduce medical errors as much as possible. On this basis, realize the intelligence of the entire medical industry.

(4) The application of artificial intelligence in the era of great health.

① On the software, establish a database. First, establish health data for everyone from birth to death. In order for doctors to analyze anytime, anywhere, this strategic project has introduced the “Chronic Disease Prevention and Control Project”. The question now is whether medical staff, especially those in public hospitals, can keep up with the times and upgrade their thinking accordingly? Secondly, how to manage and control citizens’ health data. For example, how to properly keep these health data by institutions or individuals to prevent the possibility of further leakage.

Then the following processing should be carried out: Assuming that a person or organization caused the data leakage, then it should be punished according to the consequences. Assuming it is caused by the artificial intelligence equipment technology itself, you can learn from the European Union’s “Machine Ethics Law” to punish and deal with it. Of course, artificial intelligence machines are also treated as a capable agent at this time.

② Upgrade the hardware accordingly. Corresponding upgrades are made to wearable devices to gradually accurately and effectively reflect human health data, and to seamlessly connect with medical databases to achieve effective interaction between individuals and professional institutions.
